Yes, SafeCig has lousy customer service. (Although, they have been pretty good about replacing batteries.) Their biggest problem is a total lack of quality control. Maybe 1 out of 5 cartridges perform decently. I, for one, will NOT spend another dime with them. Compared to other companies they might be moderately priced, but that does no good if you have to throw away most of a box in one day. Sad, as when a cratridge performs correctly, they have a decent flavor and draw, even at lower nicotine levels. Too many of the other companies have flavors that are too sweet or there is a harder draw. Regardless, one of them will get my business as SafeCig has the worst quality control and you end up wasting a lot of money and getting turned off to the value of electronic cigarettes. .

Hi Joyce,

We're all disappointment in the Safe Cig. They have turned into an awful company and they owe a ton of people advertising money from what I hear around the industry while their owner is partying in Hawaii on Facebook. Pretty bad stuff if you ask me. And the customer comments speak for themselves, just look around, people are bad-mouthing their customer service everywhere.

I do what I can to keep people informed. Anyone who thinks different, please read my archive and you'll see that I'm the only blogger who tells it like it is and reports factual evidence going back to 2009.

Thanks for your kind words, Joyce.

Hi Andy & everyone who uses The Safe Cig:
Well it has been a few months since I last posted. Here are my observations of TSC. Their customer service still STINKS. The new 7-pack cartridges do NOT last as long as the old ones and no wonder - they are much smaller than the old ones. I used to be able to use one cartridge a day and now I have to use 2 in a day and I haven't been using it more than I was before (to be sure, I counted every time I used it). So for the money, it is not working out for me. The battery life also stinks - my batteries only last about 2 hours a piece. When I last posted I was about to buy the V2 and I did. The battery life is much better (about 4 hrs for me). The customer service is absolutely the best. And the refills are comparable to what TSC USED to be. So I have to say that for the money and the great kit options V2 can't be beat. It takes them a little longer to ship and you have to pay for shipping but at least you know ahead of time whether the items you want to order are in stock. A V2 rep told me to do a chat with them any time I am about to order to make sure what I need is truly in stock. So far I haven't had any problems with them. So, all in all, I would have to recommend V2, hands-down, over The Safe Cig. I am very disappointed in the turn that company has decided to take. I am sure there are MANY TSC customers that feel the same as I do and have now switched to another brand. I'm saying quit The Safe Cig and go V2 all the way. Thanks Andy for all your help. You do not steer anyone wrong.

I have been a customer of the Safe Cig since June 2011. Initially I did not have major problems with supply or shipping. But my NO PROBLEMS with SUPPLY could have been attributed to my SELECTION of the Original CLASSIC's 11mg., which seemed to be always available. I am now using the Original CLASSIC's 6mg. I am also using the MICRO CLASSIC which (for now) only 18mg. is available. I have also used the ORIGINAL & MICRO "Mandalay" FLAVOR (18mg.). I agree that "some of the recent issues over the past month have been due to a complete overhaul of their original ecig to incorporate the flavors introduced with the Micro".

However, "some" of the Safe Cig's FLAVOR STOCKING is "still lacking". In addition to ANSWERING "inquiries" by Safe Cig CUSTOMERS. They still have "a-way-to-go" in "catching-up" with those INQUIRIES and SOLVING Safe Cig Customer PROBLEMS.

I have been a customer of the Safe Cig since Christmas of last year. In that time I have not had any major problems with supply or shipping, with the exception of last February and early March, when they had routing issues from one of their off-shore suppliers. In fact I usually receive my orders within 3 or 4 days; and that is with free shipping. IMHO I feel that some of the recent issues over the past month have been due to a complete overhaul of their original ecig to incorporate the flavors introduced with the Micro. They have also redesigned the packaging to resemlble the Micro and have transitioned to 7 per pack of refills rather than the original 5 pack. If anyone is still trying to order the original 5 pack (which is still posted on their web site) they will find that certain strengths are no longer available. As of this morning The Safe Cig was fully stocked across the board with 20% off for the entire weekend. That includes their original three flavors. Hope this helps.

Andy,
TODAY IS NOVEMBER 22, 2011. PRICE IS NOT A FACTOR. CUSTOMER SERVICE AND QUALITY ARE VERY IMPORTANT FACTORS.
WHAT BRAND DO I PURCHASE?

Marlboro Red 100's? I'd use Bull Smoke personally, as they offer three different types of tobacco tastes ALL in the 16 and 24 mg levels that will give you that "RED" feeling. The Ranch Hand is the one you'll want to order, in my opinion. that way you can try all three flavors in different strengths.

Andy,
What e-cig brand would provide a flavor most like Marlboro Red 100's? I am thinking about purchasing e-cigs for my husband who has smoked for over 30 years. What e-cig company would you reccomend I try?

Andy,
Thinking of trying to turn my mom onto ecigs for her health. She smokes capri 120 menthols. Is there an ecig on the market that is long and skinny like the capri? Think that might help her with the mental transition....Thanks.
