- Highest volume of smoke in the industry – (I have tried 99% of the e-cigarettes)
- Two piece system – atomizer and battery. They snap together with ease.
- Patented technology & tasty variety of flavors.
- Constant sales on cartridges
As someone who made an effort to switch to smoking e-cigarettes, I tried many brands. But in the end, I’ve always been a big fan of Green Smoke’s. You may have read other Green Smoke reviews, or perhaps this is the first time you’ve read about this e cigarette brand.
No matter what the case is, you can rest assured that as an industry expert and voice of vapor cigarette smoking, I can say with 100% confidence that if you try Green Smoke, you will find they are as good as ANY brand in the e cigarette world.
They just feel so real and are in a class of their own when it comes to smoke quality and volume. Especially with the Flavor Max update they did in July of 2011, the cartridges were so greatly improved that even old customers that had tried other brands came crawling back to Green Smoke.
I first started using these in November of 2009, about when I started this e cigarette review site. Don’t get me wrong, there are other brands that I enjoy, but if you read Green Smoke consumer reviews elsewhere, I’m not the only one that feels this is a top flight brand with the BEST customer service, hands down. Green Smoke knows how to treat their customers, and I’ve been hard pressed to find a brand that works so hard at keeping their customers happy.
I also have a great discount code if you choose to buy Green Smoke Electric Cigs.
(The Green Smoke coupon code is embedded in the link – just click and you’ll unlock the savings!)
Green Smoke continues to blaze trails in the e cigarette world, and you can catch Green Smoke Racing’s first venture into NASCAR with the sponsorship of TJ Bell. This is by far the largest step into the main stream for e cigarette companies, and I’m happy it’s Green Smoke who is doing this. Green Smoke has always been a very stand-up company, as evidenced by their millions of happy customers. While other brands have ventured into advertising in NASCAR, it was Green Smoke who paved the way for these e cig brands to advertise as such. What a great move, as evidenced by the many other brands following suit.
As mentioned earlier in the Green Smoke review, Green Smoke is also proud to release their Flavor Max cartridges. As of 7.15.11 these are for sale. You now get 360 puffs per cartridge and 25% more vapor than past Green Smoke cartridge editions! I’ll have an update on the review coming very soon as I placed an order and am waiting for my new cartridges.
For more Green Smoke updates or updates on any other electronic cigarette company, simply join my newsletter as I’m always in the loop.
I’m proud to say that almost two years after posting my first review of Green Smoke, the company has remained a strong brand and continues to impress me on all levels. There have been many new companies entering the electronic cigarette marketplace, but none have rivaled the level of respectability that Green Smoke simply commands.
Green Smoke remains tops in my book for customer service, and that is echoed by many of the comments by real consumers right here. As 2011 progresses, and as we reach 2012, you can look for more great news about the expanding Green Smoke brand of electric smoking products.

Hi,
I just wanted to let you know that the “ChangeALife” coupon code no longer gives a 20% discount, it’s now %10, I just checked… I think it was 20% till Jan 10, 2010, kind of a “New Years Resolution” promotion…
Just wanted to let you know so that maybe you could change it in your article, lest anyone gets dissuaded or felt mislead and are put off from checking out what is by far the best e-cig out there.
Please feel free to remove this comment at your leisure.
Thanks.
trying to apply the discount to my order
Very similar… enough to satisfy the most hardcore smokers. There are many reports of smokers with 1-2 pack a day habits completely switching over to e-cigarettes permanently. The vapor tastes, feels and looks like tobacco smoke. It delivers that instant nicotine satisfaction that smokers crave.
If all of these E-cigs are supposed to be so great….and they are obviously making a bundle of money off people why dont one of the companies with great reviews such as Green Smoke actually GIVE away some free kits …with no charges attached so someone can try them without having to pay for the starter kits. If someone advertises Free trial actually make it free without sneaking in the enter credit card info here. So come on spread around the wealth and offer something actually FREE! I for one would like to try it but wont spend $40 or $50 to try it.
Where’s the discount coupon?
Frank! Frank oh frank! A company dosent just give there product away. Green smoke have done plenty ofmdemonstrations in malls in the usa. Plus they offer a 30 day money back garentee. Excuse my spelling. So if wernt happy u shudda just got ya money back. I orderx mine knowing i can send it back if im not happy.
Frank ! oh Frank! why does everyone want everything for free. I have been trying to give up smoking for years with no success, my green smokes arrived today and I have smoked 1 real cigarette (today) I would call that a result as a 30 a day man. have tried will power, hypnosis, etc., bullshit!!! try this man. seriously I was going to buy a cheaper brand, but after I read that a green smoke produces most vapour I was sold! and man ! are they right ! rock on green smoke they deserve a fecking emmy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! feck the governement and tax etc., how about the health of humanity!!!
i want to find out if any has noticed a change in flavor i have been smokeing green smoke for about 6 months and my last order sept 10 2010 they changed ,has anyone else noticed?they really do not taste as good as they used to.
Since last September they have moved their manufacturing from overseas to New York. This is for the quality and longevity of the product. I personally did not feel a change in flavor or anything, so that’s an interesting observation. Anyone else a long time Green Smoke E-Smoker with any feedback?
Joni,
Use this discount code: disc10-9219
That’s 10% off and it’s also current as of today, 9/28/10.
GreenSmoke are the best. I did have an issue w/one battery and they replaced it for me ASAP , couldn’t be happier. I smoked a lot for over 20 years …just to be able to breath again , I really couldn’t be happier w/GreenSmoke !!!
Thanks for the comment, Kim. That’s great to know – I too love Green Smoke.
Andy
I noticed the extra high (16mg) of Tobacco M taste like crap compared to the older ones. They also do not last as long as other flavors.
Personally, I have found that the 16mg Apple flavor lasts the longest and with relatively high strength until it runs out, plus it has a nice sweet taste. The 8mg (Tobacco M High) also tastes much better (sweeter) and lasts longer.
I just love that I’m not ingesting burnt tobacco smoke anymore and I don’t wreak like smoke. I don’t think it’s good for you as nicotine is a toxin, and they will not divulge what they use in their flavoring, but it’s a step in the right direction for me. I know other people who tried different brands and they said those tasted horrible, almost like pure, intense glycol. the only pain in the ass is having to order the cartridges and have them shipped.
We loved the green smoke initially but then the menthol cartridges were changed to the dreaded “made in China” and there is a taste/quality difference. This is disappointing for a menthol smoker and I’m hopeful Greensmoke will go back to the US made cartridges. Even if it costs more, it’s worth the money.
@Sherri Green Smoke manufactures their cartridges in New York now and they have spent a great deal of money to re-work the flavors to get them just right. You should give them another shot.
I have just read about e cigarettes and can’t believe that I haven’t heard of them before. The only thing I’m worried about is all of the negative reviews that are out there. The fact that it isn’t FDA approved is a little scary…i’m not a major smoker, 1-2 a day and more on weekends. Would the lowest dose of nicotine be too much for me? What are your thoughts on the fact that it hasn’t been fully approved? Is it safe to use?
@Shannon
The FDA hasnt done all that much research into e-cigarettes at all. That and the FDA has approved more things that have killed or extremely harmed people then they have disapproved. There are life saving medicines and cures around the world that the FDA wont approve even though governments of other country’s (e.g. Canada and Europe) have done years of research on and have been using them for years. In the US it is all about money (even with the FDA) and if a good portion of smokers go to e-cigarettes the government will lose a large amount of money for not being able to tax them as a tobacco product. They would rather have people smoking traditional cigarettes for that reason. Thats why if you ask doctors about them they will recommend them to you over traditional cigarettes. When i got turned on to them was when a doctor got on the radio and was actually giving them away for free to anyone who wanted to switch over because of the health benefits.
For the nicotine amount
* * 8 mg – comparable to Marlboro Red
* * 6 mg – comparable to Marlboro Light
* * 4 mg – comparable to Marlboro Ultra Light
* * 0 mg – Not available by Marlboro
Go with what ever is closest to the cigarettes you smoke and it will be just like your smoking now except you will be able to breathe and there are hundreds if not thousand of less chemicals and additives absent from e-cigarettes that are in traditional ones.
An E-Cigarette is much much much safer then a traditional cigarette! Just think, you wont be breathing in carbon monoxide, rat poison, and many more unmentionables anymore!
I love e-cigerette. I smoke for 15 years and when I heard about this product I had to try it. I’ve been using my green smoke e-cigerette for 6 months now and it is working amazingly! I can really feel the difference in my body and my life. I highly recommend it.
EJohn thanks for your reply. I already have 5 and 10% off discount codes posted for everyone so I edited that part of your message. thanks for contributing.
I was 100% on board to get the Greensmoke brand because of the great endorsement here, but I ran into an issue with their Holiday Starter Kit Promo. They advertise it as $149.00, which seemed like a lot, but figured it was worth it because of the glowing write ups here. However, to complete the order the buyer needs to select a flavor for the cartridges, and that adds a minimum of $5 to the order, also the 10% discount code is not getting applied to the Holiday Kit. (no mention of restrictions on additional discounts)… I have an email in to them to see if they will honor the advertised price. I hope they honor it. This isn’t the kind “welcome aboard” I was hoping for from a company that is supposed to be customer focused.
OK…so I had to bartend tonight, on the counter, for sale was a disposable blucig. I purchased and tried it and its wellll sort of ok. I feel like I have to suck hard and hold the small hole on it to even get a feeling of relief that I get from a normal cigarette. However, I have been now looking into getting a starter kit of some sort and dont know which direction or company to go with considering all have great and terrible reviews. So someone please help me and guide me to a company that is affordable yet soothing, btw ASAP
Lori,
You can’t go wrong with Green Smoke, V2, and The Safe Cig. All top quality brands that produce great vapor. Blu Cigs has not been popular with hardcore (daily) smokers since moving factories.
Update: Green Smoke will not ship flavored cartridges to California. (After consulting with the State and it’s anti smoking / aimed towards minors laws they made this decision.) Green Smoke will still make those flavors, but will not ship them to California due to legal reasons.
Andy
Andy, first off huge thanks to your great work on this site, its great to see someone putting their time and effort into helping others. I have been a heavy smoker for about 4 years now, and I am tired of always coughing, being winded easily, and smelly nasty.I have tried to quit cold turkey, but it never last for more than a few days because I am a very habitual person which makes it worse. I am pretty dead set on buying a e-cig kit, with my first goal to rid myself of regular cigarettes, and my long term goal to be nicotine free. I smoke about a pack a day (sometimes more) of Marlboro 54′s, which is a really harsh menthol cigarette. I am a college student so my smoking often increases on the weekends when I am out drinking at the bars. What would you recommend for me out of the products you have tested, I would really like the e-cig that best represents the taste and strength of normal cigarettes.
Thanks!
Hey Matt,
I haven’t seen a clear cut winner in the menthol category. I personally smoke a good amount of menthol e-cigarettes, and have found Green Smoke and The Safe Cig to be fantastic. V2 isn’t far behind but their menthol flavor doesn’t seem to be as strong – some people actually prefer that – but in your situation I would go with Green or Safe Cig.
Make sure you use a discount code listed here to save yourself some beer money.
Oh, the good old days of college.
Keep us posted on your experiences, Matt.
AG
Have been using GreenSmoke for the past 7 days…and been very pleased. Smoker for 30+ years, and not 1 real cig since using this product. Batts last me almost a full day, and Carts last about a day and a half! I use the Full – 16 but may switch to the 24. Odd since I used to smoke Marlb 100s light. Any comments?
thanks for your site…very well done!
Thanks Loden. The 24′s are a little harsh for me, I prefer the 16′s. (I was a light smoker myself). So, it may be a bit harsh or have too big of a throat hit, but hey, give it a shot if you feel it’s what you will enjoy. it’s priced right….
Alright, so I received my Green Smoke e-cig starter kit about a week ago. I wanted to write this review because when I was researching e-cigs there seemed to be a lot of Green Smoke “affiliates” writing seemingly biased reviews of this product. This is my experience thus far with this product. I am in no way affiliated with the company and am not being compensated in any way for writing this review. This is my first and only experience with e-cigs so I will not be comparing this brand to others, but rather to real cigarettes.
Now for the review:
For starters, shipping took about 5 business days which is pretty fast considering I’m on the west coast and the company is located in Florida. Everything came as advertised, no surprises is a good thing. I charged the smaller of the two batteries first which took about 2.5 hours (the batteries come somewhat charged). I put on the cartridge and began vaping. The vapor produced is at least as much, if not more than a regular cig. The flavors that I chose taste really good (absolute tobacco and “red” tobacco) they taste better to me than the real thing, but similar enough to trick your brain into smoking satisfaction. Both of the batteries seem to last about as long as it takes them to charge. The smaller one lasts about 3-4 hours and the larger one about 5-6.5 hours depending on how much you are puffing. Charging time for the larger battery is much longer than advertised, but it lasts a long time as well so I can’t really complain. The look and feel of the e-cig is slightly larger and heavier than a regular cig, but the resistance to the“drag” feels almost exactly the same.
The cartridges really could not be any simpler to change, just unscrew and discard. I have had no problems with partially used cartridges leaking or with the liquid inside getting into my mouth or anything like that. My purpose in trying these was to quit smoking real cigs, and I’m very happy to say that during the last week that I have had my Green Smoke cigs, I have only smoked a couple of the analog ones. I decided to start with a high dose of nicotine for the first 10 cartridges (24mg) so that my brain could get used to the e-cigs and I’m glad that I did because although you do get nicotine and you do inhale and exhale vapor which looks like smoke, you do not get nearly the same “throat hit” from these as you would from a regular cig. I found myself craving this “throat hit” and trying to take huge pulls from the e-cig so that I would feel it. That being said, after only a week my body has gotten used to the e-cigs and now I do feel the throat hit more than I did in the first few days, its just not as noticeable as a real cig (which is good because I assume that the “throat hit” from a regular cig is much more damaging to your throat).
The cartridges seem to last somewhere around ¾ of what a regular pack would last, although I think I’m smoking the e-cigs more than I smoked regular ones (I smoked a pack a day for 15 years) because I can smoke them anywhere lol. The biggest problem that I am having with my e-cigs is trying to juggle smoking as much as I want to, with keeping at least one battery charged. I’m thinking of getting the USB pass through so I can save my batteries when I’m home. I know that this brand is more expensive than most of the others on the market, but from what I can tell so far, this is a quality product. That coupled with the 30 day money back guarantee and the one year warranty in my opinion make the product worth the money. All in all, I am very pleased with the product and feel really confident that I will not be killing myself with the regular cancer sticks anymore. Happy vaping!!!
Jay, thanks for your review. Lot of information out there on the web – it’s hard to believe everything you read. Thanks for sifting through the good and the bad and making an informed decision. I do have advertisers here, I make no bones about it. But they get no preference here, I give honest reviews based on experience. I have a great day job and don’t need the bribes.
Glad you enjoy your Green Smoke kit. I obviously echo the great things you say about that organization.
I’ve tried these Greensmokes a few months back and was disappointed. The battery seemed too heavy and I didn’t feel like I was getting any nicotine at all… and very little smoke. I’m going to try it again only use the 18mg. instead of the light one. I would love to quit smoking real cigarettes.
Hi Becky,
Most people don’t complain about it, but it’s a fact that all e-cigarette batteries are heavier than the real thing. It’s just the way it is. As far as not getting nicotine, which strength were you using?
I would like to know if there are other side effects with the Grenn Smoke.
im trying to quit smoking because all health damages the real ones cause, it is probablly better nothing than this. but are there any studies about less cancer risks by changing to e-cigarttes?
Since the e-cigarettes are so new, there aren’t studies (long or short term) about any side effects. However, I like to point to carcinogens in tobacco cigarettes and compare them to e-cigarettes. 10,000 to 10 (estimate.)
I can’t give health advice, but my OPINION and RESEARCH shows me e-cigarettes aren’t as bad for you as tobacco cigarettes. Trying to tread lightly on the verbiage but whose with me here?
Hi Andy,
Thank you for a fabulous job on giving the run down on all the e-cigs out there.
I have narrowed it down to the Safe Cig or the Green Smoke.
I have a few questions:
1. Are both of these brand’s cartridges made in the US? I have professional experience with China manufacturing and I am not so much concerned with the actual product, but more the replaceable cartridges – as lately China suppliers have been known to add strange fillers into food/household consumable products- without informing the parent company.
2. Which of the 2 has a longer battery life? Can you add the cartridge and simply put it down after a few puffs and then 3 hours later pick it up again or do you have to undo/reattach the cartridge to the battery after each interval?
3. Is SafeCig back on track with their backorders? I noticed one person noted having several “dud” cartridges from Safe Cig. Is this prevalent in their organization?
Thank you!
2.
i have smoked since i was 16 and now 59 . these things have turned me around . just ordered another battery and a few more cartridges. i only got one battery the first time. its so easy to go without the real thing now. thanks ,john
Just this lat January I recieved the Green Smoke starter kit for my 29 birthday, my father was trying to get me to quit real cigs which i had been smoking since 13. Needless to say i was skeptical that sucking on a battery that heats up liquid nicotine would satisfy overpowering addiction to the chemicals in cigarettes, but after smoking on my first cartridge, by the end of the day i realized I hadn’t smoke a regular cig all day. It takes some getting used to and at times of excessive stress or anger one may find themselves resorting back to an old fashioned fire stick, but even back sliding once in awhile is ok until you’ve become accousted to nicotine levels and the taste of the vapor. And though there is little scientifc study as to whether E-cigarettes are healthier than regular cigarettes, I can only testify to the fact that having been a 1-2 pack a day smoker for 16 years, I have already begin to notice the differnce in my lung capacity(I am an avid surfer), my sense of smell and taste seem sharper and the over all feeling of not being looked on as a second class citizen while smoking. As long as it isn’t proved in the future that the chemicals used, the vaporization system utilized, and the charge of the battery are detrimental to human consumption or somehow carcinogenic than I give glowing revues for the product. Nothing has helped my quit like this, period.
I have a sneaky feeling electronic cigarettes dont give a lot of nicotine, because after using my gsmoke for about 2 weeks i tried a real cigarette (i know naughty) but when i smoked the real cig it knocked me dizzy as if it was the first cigarette i have ever smoked. which i find intriguing as the gsmoke alone stops any need of a real cigarette , so i wonder how much of it is placebo effect, its damn good though however it works. and its sure more healthy
@PaulD
Could be the 10,000 to 10 carcinogen ratio knocking you on your ass.
Read great reviews about GS and have mine being overnighted
Hi everyone,
Just did some Spring cleaning of the blog comments in order to make this read more like an encyclopedia and not like a conversation that’s been going on two years. So, some “back and forths” from party to party that went answered were removed and added to the review – just an FYI.
Currently, the same discount code is still alive and kicking: disc10-9219
10% off all purchases. I’m always looking for more Green Smoke Reviews – if you have used this brand, please leave your comments here and share your experience.
Andy
Hi Andy,
Great site with lots of information. I am considering purchasing an e cig. I do have a couple questions I’m hoping you would be able to answer for me. I am considering Green Smoke or the V2. From all of my research on line I have found that a lot of these companies have a lack of stock, and often don’t send what you order. Any information on this? Also I live in Ontario, Canada. Have you heard of any shipping problems across the boarder? I am hoping to get cartridges with nicotine. Thanks for your thoughts. Keep up the great work.
Nessatime
Hi Nessatime,
Well, for starters, they do send you what you order, but if there is a stock issue they will offer something similar. I have read that e cigarettes are not legal for sale in Canada, but I KNOW for a fact that many readers are from Canada (I look at IP’s from time to time) and nobody has posted any issues with shipments. I’m sure the companies are versed in how to code the product in order to get it through customs without an issue.
You can’t go wrong with Green Smoke or V2 – both are great brands. Lately I’ve preferred V2 Cigs personally.
I tried Green Smoke for the first time in 2009. I was very pleased, at first, and cut back from 2 packs of cigarettes a day to only 3 or 4 cigarettes a day. The problem I encountered was that the batteries didn’t last long. They offer a 1 year guarantee on the batteries if you order them on the website, but I had purchased mine at the mall, and they would not replace them. I ordered batteries on the website, but they didn’t last any longer — about a month. I quit using Green Smoke and tried other brands. They failed in comparison — The Blu Cigs batteries lasted longer, and they had the fantastic remote charger pack, but the “smoke” wasn’t nearly as satisfying as Green Smoke. So I started back smoking real cigarettes. Early this year, Green Smoke sent me a “welcome back” discount, and I tried them again. I must say, the batteries have lasted 3 months now with no problem. Also, the cartridges (menthol ice, 24mg) are lasting a lot longer and taste better and stronger, too. I’m very satisfied this time.
are there any brands that dont have that sweet taste? i want one that tastes like a real cigarette, not sweet, not menthol either.
is it a good idea to get an extra battery?
Cilantro,
(I love cilantro by the way) – The tobacco flavors of most brands are pretty darn close to the real thing. Which ones have you tried?
Extra batteries are always a great idea.
I ordered my first e cig from Green Smoke. The product was very good, but after about 2 weeks, the batteries stopped working. I called customer service, and they sent me 2 new batteries and a new usb adapter. I had to ask for faster shipping, and they only changed it to the faster USPS delivery after I asked for an expedited shipping method, even though both methods were free.
I ordered 8 cartridge packs when my first cartridges ran out. Only NINE of FORTY of them worked. The rest were defective. Because I received them after 5:00 during business hours, I called the next day at about 9:30 am. The customer service agent didn’t make very much sense, said he was having a difficult time working the computer, asked for my phone number to call me back, and he never did.
I called again at 4:30. The next fellow with whom I spoke told me I had to check to see if all forty were working again before they would think about making it right. He also said, “I find it really hard to believe that out of 8 packages, only 9 of them work.” Although he implied I was lying, I tried them again with 4 different batteries that were fully charged from 2 different chargers as soon as I got home. I called that day, and the entire company was off on a random Friday, so I left a very detailed message, just as the prompt asked. As of Wednesday the next week, no one has returned my call.
I am really unhappy that I spent over $100 on a product that was defective. I am even more unhappy that they seem to be unwilling to resolve the issue. Please consider this when buying your e cigs.
Lisa,
Hopefully Green Smoke has a rep that notices this as it’s not good business. They typically have had the best customer service in the game – hands down. I can’t recall the last time I read something like this about Green Smoke.
To say “please consider this when buying your ecigs” is sort of a blanket statement and unfair – tens of thousands of orders happen online according to recent studies of e cig buyers and of course not every one will go smooth. Humans make mistakes that’s why we are humans.
Best,
Andy
HI Andy,
After doing alot of research online I decided to get GreenSmoke. My starter kit arrived Tuesday. I was happy and sad at the same time. I was scared I would have to give up my real cigs. I finished the few I had that day and got used to the ecig. The next day I saved 1 cig for the morning. I havent had a real cig since. I ordered the 18mg red label. I prob would have gone a bit stronger. I am gonna stick with this and I have already ordered more carts. This does not replace the real thing and I am still feeling some withdrawl but its helped a great deal. If this works for me it will be amazing and worth every penny. As I see it I have saved about 40 bucks this week so I will quickly make up the purchase price. You need to want to quit. Its still not easy but this is the best I have done in a while. So i would say ..anyone trying to quit I would definaltely give this a shot!
Andy,
Can you use the liquid e juice to refill the cartriges for the green smoke and if so is it a big savings. I tried the Aqua Vapor e cigarettes a year or so a go and the cough was too much for me. I guess I should have used a lower nicotine does.
John
John,
Yes, some people modify their e cigs and cartridges and refill them. I don’t advise it and neither do the manufacturers out there of most brands that aren’t made specifically for e-liquid refills. But, if you can figure it out and get it to work, and you like it – then by all means…..
Is it a big savings? Not really when compared to just buying cartridges in bulk.
Andy
Thanks for the quick reply. I’m still hunting for the best e-cig. I may just buy the green smoke and buy cartridges in bulk. thanks.
It past two months since my first e-cig, i have bought green smoke trying to look for quality, but i didn’t find it, my starter kit from green it’s not working anymore, it has during only two months, the two battery not charge any more, when i put on the charge just start blinking and not charge… us$ 150 burned…
I just spent the last 3 hours checking out blucigs and Green Smoke. It seems (thought almost double the price) that Green Smoke is the better deal. My only question at this point is why does the starter kit come with 5 different “flavors”? Wouldn’t it be a waste to get 5 and only like one? I don’t think I would use the menthol or Absolute Tobacco flavors because I don’t smoke menthol cigarettes or pipes or cigars now. Is there a way to get a starter kit with only one or two flavors or do I actually have to try them all and is there a good reason they do it this way?
HC,
All companies package their offers for different reasons, I can’t really answer if you’ll like more than one flavor or not. That’s the chance you take. There are several companies that offer one or two flavors.
I think when you order from Green smoke you can choose any combo for the flavors. once you put the kit in your cart it will give you options for nicotine level and flavor.
Hi Andy,
I posted back on April 14th and since then have received my V2 starter kit. I ended up having it shipped to Cali and my coworker brought it back with her after her vacation. I really like it so far (been almost a week). My order came in just as I had asked, and it was shipped in a timely fashion. Thank you for your suggestion for the V2. I now plan on ordering and having extra cartridges shipped here to Canada. I will let you know how it goes. Thanks so much!
Nessatime
I’ve had Green Smokes for 4 months now. They do work, but I go through cartridges much faster than I expected. I use to smoke about 6 packs of cigs per week, less than one a day, but I found myself going through two cartridges a day. That’s less than one half a pack per cartridge. Still cheaper than cigarettes, but not by much.
I’m now testing out refilling the cartidges with e-liquids from other manufacturers and I’m looking elsewhere for new batteries.
Green smoke prices are higher than what you can find at places like xxxxx
*Sorry Chris, no advertising in the comments section please.***
This product is crap. I hate to be brutally honest, but one would be much better toking from a stick of chalk or a twig than spending hundreds on this! Hate to say it, but I had the highest hopes, and yes, I quit BEFORE I purchased greensmoke but was hoping it would calm the cravings when I had a drink or was around my friends that smoke. Not gonna happen! I had a fully charged battery tonight and a new cartridge (no nicotine) and there was absolutely NO smoke and no satisfaction from using this product. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND LOOK ELSEWHERE!!! $200 or more into buying the original batteries and the cartridges, I could have gone to Michael’s craft store and bought a box of chalk for the same satisfaction.
Hi Teresa,
You are one of the only people that seems to feel this way. I urge you to call Green Smoke, perhaps you got a bad battery. If there was “no smoke” and “no satisfaction” then obviously you have a dud. It’s an electronic product so that’s possible, faulty batteries do happen. Green Smoke is pretty good about taking care of stuff like that. If you aren’t willing to do that, I have to question the integrity of your review. (don’t take it in a bad way, I’ve filtered comments before noticing a trend in IP addresses. Not going to accuse you of that, but if your product didn’t work, call them asap is all I’m saying.)
Hope you have a better experience elsewhere or that Green Smoke gets you another battery and you have a change of heart. Based on what you said, you have a dud and should be fine with the next one.
Just letting you and your fans know– I just ordered the GreenSmoke. I just got it today. It is so amazing!!! I am in love with this device. At first I was disappointed; I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect. I prefer the longer battery that comes in the starter pack, but I started with the small battery and the first atomizer piece seems to have been a dud, so I was kind of let down. Then I tried another atomizer and stuck it on the longer battery, and it changed everything! I might already be an addict. The box it came in had a pretty little bow on it (I got the father’s day package), which came with a pretty black case. I just wanted to say that this is the most realistic e-cig I’ve ever tried– admittedly, I’ve only tried one other- the Blu Cig. Nonetheless, do not hesitate to buy this product. You won’t regret it. A LOT of vapor (more than a cigarette!), the taste really grows on you (after a few tries), and you won’t be able to bring yourself to put it down. Thanks Andy, for your wonderful review that helped me choose this product!
Coco,
Appreciate the input and feedback is always welcome. Green Smoke is great, you won’t find many people thinking otherwise. Best of luck with the device!
i just received the green smoke kit yesterday. i’m in Saudi Arabia. i tried it. i was hoping for more smoke. i ordered nico 6 vanilla and chocolate. its fine, but not the amount of smoke that i was hoping for. i wanted to quit smoking cigarettes and replace it with green smoke. Green smoke is more like hubbly bubbly.
is there a way that green smoke may produce a large amount of smoke?
I have only tried one brand of ecigs, and that is Green Smoke. I can’t say how they compare to other brands, but I can say that I feel like their quality has gone down in the past 6 months or so. I’ve been finding almost one bad cartridge per box, which does not make me happy. The rep I spoke to was about as personable as a cactus and as helpful as a wet towel. I was offered a single box of low nicotine cartridges as retribution. Well, that was a nice thought, but I’m a 18mg user. 4mg aren’t going to cut it. When I asked if it was possible to get the 18mg, I was told that I was lucky to be getting anything.
I also ordered a green smoke case. Very over priced, it’s flimsy and the one I got does not stay snapped shut when my battery and cartridge are stored in it. Green Smoke would not allow me to return it or give me an exchange.
When Green Smoke e-cigs work, they are fantastic. Nice throat hit, full bodied taste. But if I’m going to pay top dollar for a premium product, I expect premium service and a generous return policy.
I ended up tossing all my Green Smoke stuff and going with Safe Cig. Originally, the Green Smoke batteries seemed to last a fair amount of time, but after a short while, they’d lose their charge much faster than seemed normal. I bought replacement batteries, and that didn’t seem to help. I called them and swapped out five or six batteries (I had gotten a starter kit and the few extra batteries), and I found that the replacement batteries were worse than the original ones. I miss the Green Smoke taste, but something was going with their product. I tried Safe Cig, and found that the cartridges take a little getting used to, taste-wise, but the batteries last longer, charge from zero to full in less than 90 minutes, and the cartridges last longer. So, they had me, then they lost me.
When I first tried GS, I loved it. Best tasting carts too. Now, I’m just fed up with batteries only working for 2/4 months before they have to be sent back. The cartridges still taste the same, but the quality sucks. I’m finding that they don’t last as long as they used to, and I’m finding 1-2 bad cartridges in a box. Customer service used to be okay, but my last few experiences have been unpleasant. I’m not trying to get something for nothing, I just want this product to work as advertised, and if it doesn’t I expect a replacement without getting lip from some punk. So Green Smoke, sorry to say, I’m outta here.
Alex,
Sorry to hear about your experience, this is certainly good information. What in particular did customer service do to put a bad taste in your mouth? What brand are you smoking now?
I had basically given up on Green Smoke before they announced they’re new cartomizers. Wow! What a difference! This is one happy customer they redeemed with the upgrade.
Martin,
We’re all happy with the new carts! WOW, what a difference right?
Hey Andy, I went to Blu now. So far so good, but I still miss the taste of GS. Haven’t tried the new carts yet, maybe I’ll give them another go, I don’t know. After the last experience, I just felt like dirt beneath their feet, ya know? When I called customer service and told them about the defective carts, the kid refused to send me replacements, and told me that even with those bad carts it’s still cheaper than smoking regular cigarettes. Not true, it’s about the same. The kid had a real attitude and also said that they have a no exchange policy on carts, which I knew, but if they don’t work at all I think I’m entitled to a replacement. Am I wrong? I’ve spent a lot of money with them and referred a few of my friends and family members to GS, and that I was treated pretty shabby is pretty low.
I’m liking the Blu, at least they don’t dribble like GS does, and I like the smaller lighter size of the ecig. That’s all I got for now, I’ll keep you updated on how Blu is working, and if I decide to try the new carts from GS or not. I have 2 bad batteries that need to go back before I can get new carts. If GS customer service gives me any lip about them, I’ll probably be done for good with GS.
BTW-I’ve been real cigarette free for 8 months and I feel great. My Doc said my lungs sound better each time I go see him, and the oxygen levels in my bloodstream are improving. Thanks for posting that Boston study on e-cigs. It’s hard to trust the FDA when you know something helped you quit smoking, but they won’t acknowledge it and let other people know the benefits.
Thanks for listening Andy.
I’m happy to hear of your successes, for sure!
It’s personal preference, I try to exert that in my reviews – some people do prefer the smaller products like Blu, while others are more into the “real like” item. To each his own, as the saying goes.
Hello all, well i just ordered the starter kit for my husband, and he started using it for a week now, it is VERY AWSOME, there is absolutely no real smoke, no smell, no bad breathe, not affecting his self-esteem, plus the flavors of catridges gives wide variety of choosing which flavor you wish to inhale.
My husband is very happy now, and you know what he has not put a single real cigarette in his mouth for the past whole week.
if i advice a brand, I would highly recommend “GREENSMOKE”.
Andy,
I have searched for days on the internet to try to find an e-cig that is for me. I have been smoking real cigs for way to long (15 years and I’m 30!!) It’s time to quit!! I just ordered the V2 kit and it should come soon. However, I have a feeling from reading the reviews that GS may have a better “taste”.
I am currently trying to quit MARLBORO SMOOTH. I smoke about 6 packs a week. I really don’t care too much about cost. I would rather find an ecig that is as close to MARLBORO SMOOTH as possible. Any suggestions?? Should I also get a Green Smoke kit?
Thanks
Hi Mr D.
Never had a Marlboro Smooth, so its’ tough to make a recommendation. Do this, enjoy your V2 Cigs – you may not need another option. However, if you feel you want to compare, then Green Smoke is a must have – great product, especially post Flavor Max.
I have been using Greensmoke for about 6 months and have all but quit real cigarettes. I have needed 6 new batteries(replaced without problem) and one new wall charger(no problem again). I am really struggling to get used to the new tastes. I use Menthol and Vanilla and find the new ones both very peculiar! The vanilla makes me feel a little nauseous and the Menthol is very chemical tasting. Is it possible to still get the old cartridges?
Serfiah,
I believe the “old” carts are all gone. I’ll send an email though and find out.
Okay so I broke down and tried the new green smoke carts. It is my pleasure to announce that I am completely thrilled with the new carts. I just purchased enough to take with me on vacation-my first vacation without smoking I might add, so that might show my level of confidence.
These things last a LONG time. Thank you for making that improvement Green Smoke!
Since I can now compare a great GS to Blu-Here’s my review. Blu is a nice little cig. Weighs less than GS, but at the same time it produces less vapor. The blu battery must be recharged almost hourly before it goes dead. That’s not really a problem since you have two batteries at all times, and they take as long to charge as they do to drain. But if you get side tracked and forget to charge one battery, you’re gonna go an hour or so without vaping unless you’ve bought a second Blu cig kit. The Green Smoke carts -HANDS DOWN- beats Blu in taste and as far as the “throat hit” goes.
When I was vaping just the Blu ecigs, I started literally dreaming about smoking regular cigarettes again, and I had some pretty strong cravings for a tobacco cigarette. After 9 months of being tobacco free, I do not want to go there again.
With the new Green Smoke carts, those cravings have gone away.
So in conclusion, I’d have to say for me, Green Smoke is still the best. I’m happy with the way they resolved my issues. Thanks Andy for this great site!
Alex,
I do it with pleasure. Glad you came by and shared your thoughts with everyone. All my best – ANDY
Nice review Andy!
I was searching “greensmoke cigarette lasts so long” in the search engines, and found your article. I just wanted to see other’s reviews of this product. Because I’ll tell you the honest truth right here: I used to smoke between 1 – 2 packs per day (usually about 25 – 40 cigarettes daily, I know it was bad…) – and after buying the greensmoke e-cig, I’ve had this thing for 5 days now, haven’t changed the cartridge, only recharged the battery once (and it was only because I didn’t want it to run out while I was out, meaning it was still charged). I bought 20 extra cartridges thinking they’d run out really quick, but now seeing that for me, a cartridge lasts almost a week, my $100 investment will go for months and months to come. Again, great review Andy!
I have been reading this thread with interest. I received my Green Smoke kit last week and I an proud to say after 41 years of smoking tobacco, I haven’t had a real cigarette since 9/29/11. I will say about the kit I ordered, it came with five original cartomizors and 5 FlavorMax cartomizors. The FlavorMax are thumbs up much better than the originals. Yes the originals are still available at a reduced price but my re-order was the FlavorMax. I will reserve any judgment on the batteries because of the short time of having the kit. My wife and 8 children are thrilled I am tobacco free for now and hope to remain that way. I have no complaints about the Green Smoke product and hope it stays that way. I wanted a small vapor device that looked realistic and not not a vapor device that would look like I was puffing on a muffler so I am pleased with the Green Smoke product and hope it stays that way for some time.
You can buy an E-Cigarette USB car charger at Big Lots for $10.00 (By Duracell).
Why pay the extra plus shipping?
Darrell, Good advice. Do you know the compatibility of the brands this charger works with?
Hi I would like to order an e-cigarette and am trying to figure out what kind to get. I have been smoking about a pack a day for over 25 years. I have never tried one, but if it works it would be great. I am not sure about flavored cartridges, but know I would like something as close to Marlboro Medium as possible and like a real cigarette. Please make up my mind for me. I had some recommendations at work about South Beach, but out of 5 reviews I read 4 were not so good. What do you think?
I first purchased the V2 couples kit for myself and my wife. Needless to say they where a big hit at my house, as i have not had a reg cig in over 8 months. But i wanted a bit of a change so i purchase a starter kit from Green Smoke, i have had the Green Smoke for about 2 weeks and it is great in every way. I really like the Absolute tabacco flavor. Both brands are very affective in helping quite smoking. Andy keep up the great work in informing the public on these great products. I may just have to purchase a Bull Smoke or Safe Cig for my next trail!!!
