This brand is notorious for being popular with people who want something simple, effective, and amazingly original.
“More Vapor. No Bull.” That’s the tag line of this western brand of electronic cigarettes called Bull Smoke.
A unique electronic cigarette smoking experience that features the popular two piece design and 10 different flavors, including 3 variations of tobacco flavors called Old West, Texas Tobacco, and Rangers. Each tobacco blend has a distinct flavor that resembles different flavors of tobacco. (Although keep in mind the product is tobacco free like all other brands reviewed here.) In addition, Bull Smoke offers flavors like coffee, grape, vanilla, apple, cherry, chocolate, and of course, my personal favorite – menthol.
Bull Smoke Offers two Starter Kits, called Ranch Hand and City Slicker. Each are unique in the way they get you started with smokeless cigarettes. They both cost $59 which puts it in the higher price bracket for e cigarette kits, but both kits come with a lot of value, which I’ll outline below.
Is Bull Smoke worth the investment?
In short, everyone is agreeing that it is. Two batteries, all necessary charging devices, and 10 flavors, (including three varieties of tobacco flavors) and strength levels from 0 mg to 24 mg, this e cigarette performs at a high level and is available worldwide. Some of the largest e cigarette brands don’t ship worldwide, which is annoying a ecigs have a global appeal.
One thing that helps consumers save money with Bull Smoke is the customer rewards program. All purchases earn 10% of all purchases accrued in their account towards future purchases on their website. This brings down the low cost of e cigarette smoking even more! They also reward you for referring friends.
Here are some key points about each starter kit offer:
Ranch Hand:
• Includes 10 cartridges: 5 of the Virginia flavor, 3 of the Old West and 2 Rangers. This gives new electronic cigarette smokers a chance to try different styles of e cigarettes as well as have various strength levels, which are included in the set.
• Includes 2 Bull Smoke Batteries, USB charger, wall adapter, travel case/gift box, and of course the standard owner’s manual.
City Slicker:
• This is geared for electronic smokers who want to sample multiple flavors of cartridges. Each City Slicker Kit contains every component above mentioned in the Ranch Hand kit, but instead of offering simply tobacco flavors, the City Slicker offers 10 different flavors in a 16 mg strength.
For a limited time, Bull Smoke is offering 5 FREE cartridges with every order. They also have a coupon code for the month of August that I read about in a recent press release. Use “NoBull” to save $10 off all orders.
Official website of Bull Smoke Electronic Cigarettes
In mid-August 2011 I spent the weekend near the beach in Fort Lauderdale with some friends of mine. Many of them I know well and consider them “social smokers.” You know, the type that won’t buy a pack of cigarettes around the house but when they are on a vacation or drinking a little more than usual, they buck up and buy a pack or two. They all know of my fascination with e cigarettes and I thought this would be a good time to get them turned on to electronic products and also to obtain some third party opinions on a new brand I had yet to try.
We broke open the Ranch Hand kit and were immediately impressed with the presentation. It has a felt display that features the two batteries and colorful cartridges. It’s amazing how e cigs have progressed from when you just got a battery floating in a box, sometimes wrapped in cellophane and with some loose cartridges inside. After everyone was done admiring the box, it was a “taste test” for the newbies as they all discussed and compared the three tobacco flavors. Everyone seemed to agree the 16 mg flavors were a bit strong, and the 24 mg cartridges really gave that proverbial “throat hit” that an unfiltered cigarette provides. So as far as taste, satisfaction, and throat hit, this brand was firing on all cylinders. It’s worth nothing that since everyone thought it was a little strong, if you are an ultra light smoker you probably want to order the 6 mg’s. I haven’t tried them yet but I can assume that after having experience with the 16′s and 24′s.
The flavors were as expected: tasty. I’m not a huge fan of smoking flavored cartridges as I’ve stated in my past e cigarette reviews but I have to say they were in line with my expectations. Grape was a nice diversion as it reminded me of a grape jolly rancher candy!
The actual batteries are the same size as Smoke Tip’s, another e cigarette brand I have reviewed. This makes it a tad longer and wider than the V2 Cigs, for anyone looking for an e cigarette comparison. Overall, I’m impressed with the reaction I got from newbies and personally am satisfied with the brand. If the company does a good job with customer service and order fulfillment (two very key items in this industry which has hurt many brands) it could become a popular brand that you’ll hear about much more often in the future.
More information will be posted soon. For now I wanted to let every0ne know about the offer and Bull Smoke coupon code.
Remember, the Bull Smoke Discount Code is “NoBull” and is to be used by following the banner above.

What is the main difference in these products
Hi Jaqueline,
I actually find Bull Smoke quite similar to other brands. I feel they are very similar to Smoke Tip, Green Smoke, in particular. V2 Cigs has thicker vapor, is a smaller battery, and offers more accessories – but as far as ease of use and performance, I’d have to say this is right on par with Green Smoke & Smoke Tip, two popular brands of e cigarettes you can read about here.
Andy, I have enjoyed your reviews and trust your judgement. My problem is that I still don’t know what is the best deal for the money. I am a pack a day smoker of Native Ultra Light 100′s which is perfect for me. I am not a flavor person and don’t like anything strong. I would assume that I want the 6mg. but which brand? What one will be the most cost effective in the long run. You seem to have a few favorites so I would love to here what you have to say.
Hi Joan,
For cost effective, and low mg smoking, you can’t beat V2 Cigs. Get their cheapest starter kit and some of their Congress and Red flavors. (both are like tobacco.) That’s the “cheapest route” for the best brand. You can also decide to go with BullSmoke, which offers 3 different tastes of tobacco and different strengths in their $99 starter kit. With code: “nobull” you save 20% which puts it near V2 – so take a look at those two offers and you can’t lose with either one.
Holy crap! The Bull Smoke cartridges are so expensive!
I will stick to my Premium E Cig…
At $16 and FREE SHIPPING they are cheaper than Green Smoke and $2 more expensive than your Premium brand. Sometimes, you get what you pay for and in this case, Bull Smoke is a better option than Premium. Also, I did get an email for buy one, get one cartridges for a limited time….making them $8! that’s as low as you can get them.
Hi Andy. I started smoking V2 about 4 months ago from your recommendation. My question is how long do the cartridges last for Bull Smoke? It says on their website 1 cart is equal to 1 1/4 packs of regular cigs. V2 claims their carts are 1=1, but that’s not the case.
What your opinion?
Hi Susan,
Most companies say about the same – 1 – 1.5 packs of cigarettes. It all depends on how you drag the product, etc. I find myself vaping “more often” than I smoked tobacco cigs because of the convenience factor. Your mileage may vary but I find them to be very comparable products in that department.
hi andy can i have deliver to israel?
Hood,
Check witch each individual brand. I know V2 Cigs advertises that they ship worldwide. I know most other companies do as well, but it’s always best to contact each company to find out just exactly how the process works.
Hi Andy
I wrote to you back in september and you suggested either V2 or Bullsmoke for me. Just to remind you I am a pack a day smoker of ultra lights 100′s. The brand is Native- very smooth very mild. I am still not sure what to buy. Have you ever tried Apollo? I seem to be heading back to their site daily. The price seems okay and with a $60 order you get a free disposable. Wonder what your thoughts are. Thanks
Hi Joan,
I still stick with the same recommendations. I did not like Apollo, I have a kit here but didn’t enjoy it and didn’t even take time to put it on the site (the company was very nice to me and I just disliked the product and out of respect didn’t talk about it at length). I will mention that there is 15% off (AndyG15) at V2 and 50% off at Bull Smoke. (NoFire) Use those codes and save yourself some loot!
Andy- I bought Bull Smoke (ranch hand starter kit) and while it seems to be a really good system, I really don’t like the tobacco flavors all that much. Can you tell me if any other cartridges will fit the Bull Smoke?
Hi Jan,
V2 cartridges work with them, as do Smoke Tip.
Great! Thanks for the info I’ve already placed an order with V2! You might want to check w/them cause I tried using your AndyG15 code
and their system wouldn’t accept it.
Did you try any of the flavored carts from Bull Smoke? If so did you like them?
Use “AndyG”. It’s 10% off. The 15% was supposed to work, I just put an email in to my contact there to see what’s up with that.
Bull Smoke flavors are great – personally there is nothing better than the Grape. It reminds me of a jolly rancher grape flavor. I can say friends of mine like the coffee, vanilla, and apple as well. Overall their flavors are probably their strong suit.
I’m so confused which brand to try (leaning toward V2 since that was your #1 recommendation). I currently smoke Misty Light 120′s (which is a very long cigarette). No idea what tobacco to order. I was wondering about the “inconvenience” of the manual battery vs the automatic. I’m thinking I would probably prefer to “just pick up the cigarette and puff away”. I was also thinking of buying the standard pack to “share” with my husband till we see if we like it or not. Can I order different color battery, flavor and strenght that would suit each of us? He smokes Camel lights. Appreciate your help!
Hi Deb,
I try not to confuse people, instead I try to show the top brands that are all unique and will be best suited for someone. V2 Cigs has all you offer: battery colors, automatic release, and a pack you can share with a lot of different ways you can get cartridges. I’d say that’s your best bet. Flavors, Sahara. Stength, 12. Misty’s I believe are menthols, so that would be your cartridge for you. Let me know if you have any questions.
Andy,
I see that my posting did not stay for viewing. It concerns me that New York and apparently other municipalities are banning e cigs. There needs to be awarness of this within the community happily using electronics. I do not want to lose the ability to purchase the very items that you are promoting. We must be willing to express our desire and fight against any bans on e cigs
Hi Susan,
Which post are you referring to? I get dozens each day and 100′s more in a spam folder. Perhaps it was marked as spam and deleted?
I am in love with this e cigarette. While the battery is a tad longer than others, that may be a reason for a longer lasting battery – Andy your thoughts?
I like especially the vanilla, cherry, and grape but I am a social smoker just at get together gatherings when I am having cocktails. I’m not a tobacco user and do this more for the action of doing something
Hi. I purchased blu cigs about 3 years ago and ultimately found them unsatisfying due to the low vapor amount. I currently smoke Nat Sherman MCD’s. They are a slim, long cigarette. What would you recommend for me in an electronic cig?
Hi Anna,
I would use V2 Cigarettes personally. Can’t go wrong and they offer many flavors and strengths.
Hi. Ive recently gotten interested in ecigs because I got a job that is completely tobacco free on the property which cuts my 30 minute lunch break close. I currently smoke brands such as marlboro, L&M, 305 100′A-side typically whatever is cheapest. I liked the sound of the green smoke flavors as well as the strength but they are pricey. Is this the right brand for me? Thanks.
Hi Brandon,
Well, all brands have flavors and strength variations, not just Green Smoke. You are right, they are the most expensive brand (aside from White Cloud) on the market. How important are flavors and what sort fo flavors are you looking for? From there I can recommend a brand.
Of course, you can’t go wrong with Green Smoke or any of the top brands I list on the home page.
Um… Oops, sorry about. I tried to stop before it posted to fix the 100′s typo but apparently failed. I’m not much of a flavors guy. I dialuke menthols and never been tempted to try flavors. I mainly just like the tobacco flavor.
Well, from this review you were reading, Bull Smoke, there are multiple variations of tobacco flavors you can try. They also offer menthol and 6 other flavors. Personally, as a menthol user I like Green Smoke for that reason/flavor.
Well, today after work I stopped in a nearby smoking shop. They sold ecigs and had a nice kit I couldn’t say no to. Was $89 and called eGo-T and used liquid rather than the filter looking thing others use. Which means I have a much broader choice of flavors I can try. I bought Marlboro at the store. Might go back to try some other flavor though. All in all, very happy with it. Produces plenty of vapor- I actually just used it for the first time and actually got a slight buzz from it. Pretty impressive. Battery is also huge and says it will last for 800 drags. I will report back of how the battery does. I’m sure the others work well, but I’m pretty happy with my choice here.
Thanks for all the info, Andy!
You bet, Brandon. Let us know how you make out.
I am looking for a ecig that has alot of vapor and flavor.. which one is the right one?
Hi Kelly,
Are you asking about the Bull Smoke? If you could elaborate or let me know if you are looking for tobacco or “other” flavors I can steer you in the right direction.
I just started using a product called Smoking Vapor….it isn’t doing too well yet. Anyway I’m a smoker of more than 30 years!! Which e-cig do you recommend that has a lot of vapor and “tastes” like Winston regular?? Please help me find one…there are so many out there now that it is confusing. Thanks.
Hi Evie, you can’t go wrong with my top three reccomendations. V2 Cigs, Bull Smoke, and Green Smoke. If you are looking for different tobacco tastes (you mentioned Winston) I’d try the Ranch Hand by Bull Smoke, that way you can try three tobacco blends for the price of one starter kit.
Hi Andy, I really enjoy all your reviews. With that in mind I wanted to say thank you for getting me back on to ecigs. My girlfriend and I have been smoking Marlboro Lights, we probably smoked a pack and a half between us per day. She’s been smokin for over twenty years versus my three years. We are both in the medical field and I knew we had to quit.
Some time ago I stumbled across a White Cloud booth at the Mall here in Tampa and was really impressed with the product. I stayed off tobacco cigs for a few weeks. After my initial supply ran out I went back to tobacco. The cost of white cloud carts after shipping was a little high, and I didn’t want to have to go all the way to the mall for more. Recently Ive been feeling like crap every day smoking tobacco so I thought I’d give ecigs another go. This time I would do my homework. After all the reviews, I decided on the Bull Smoke. I placed an order for the City Slicker kit on Tuesday night, the post man was dropping off my order Friday morning (just as I was smoking the last tobacco cig I had left!). The whole package is pretty slick. Everything worked well straight out of the box,and most of the flavors are really enjoyable. There is tons of vapor and they hit the throat just right. The best part is the carts work with all my white cloud batteries. I’ve also read that If I want to try some V2 flavors those will work too! But I think I’ll stick with the Bull Smoke for now, since the carts ship free and I get points towards future carts with them.
Again, thanks for everything.
I have been a heavy smoker for years…when I decided to finally try e-cigs, I researches for months (it can be very confusing!)
I am SO glad I went with Bull Smoke! Their customer service is the best, better than I ever expected and the cigs work GREAT. Lots of vapor, long lasting cartridges, easy to use, and their website is super easy to navigate.
When I first placed my order for a starter kit it got lost in the mail. I emailed them on a weekend, they actually CALLED me to say no problem, they would send out another one. Got it 2 days later. I’ve since ordered cartridges and they arrive in a couple of days.
They have that great ‘reward points’ deal going on, my second order ended up being entirely free! I cannot recommend them highly enough! I went from smoking 2 pks REAL cigs a day to 1/2 pack, right away.
The only other e-cigs I’ve tried are the disposable gas station ones, don’t really recommend them
Bull Smoke always has alot of specials going on, and a 30 day money back guarentee, you really can’t go wrong.
Susanne,
Great to hear that. Bull Smoke sure gets a thumbs up in my book. They recently sent an announcement that their “next generation” stuff is coming out soon. I can’t wait to try it and will certainly be updating the review when I get my hands on it.
Thanks for sharing your experience with Bull Smoke, and keep us posted.
